We all knew that people nowadays shop their things online, isn’t it? From goods to services, many have been purchasing it online through different websites which sells those products and services that prospective customer/buyers have been looking for.
Here’s the major players in affiliate marketing: the merchants / sellers, affiliate websites / affiliate marketers, and the customer.
Merchants / Sellers, this are those companies which offers their products to be purchased online. Affiliate Websites / Affiliate Marketers, this are those people (affililiate marketers) who sells the products of merchants through their affiliate websites. Customer, this are people who buy merchant’s products through affiliate marketer’s affiliate websites.
Here’s a sample scenario:
A customer where looking online where he / she can buy some psp games online. Customer searched it online and reached the affiliate marketer’s affiliate website which sell psp games online. (Sidenote: These psp games offered by affiliate marketer’s affiliate website came from merchants). Customer purchases the psp game for the certain amount and finished the transaction – buying those psp games through the affiliate website.
With this transaction, the affiliate marketer made a sale from his / her affiliate website and that equivalents for a commission coming from merchants as these affiliate marketers sold merchants products.
*Affiliate marketer’s earns through their affiliate websites when someone (customer) purchase products from the merchants.
